What “Pairing” Empyrean Traces Means

When we talk about pairing Empyrean Traces, it’s all about taking the traces you collect across Atreia and using them strategically at Monoliths to upgrade your Amulet. Unlike weapons or armor that use general Enchantment Stones, Amulets need specific scrolls obtained via this horizontal progression system.

How Empyrean Trace Progression Works

1. Collection

Traces are scattered all over the world—Verteron, Altgard, and even Azriel. They usually appear as Monolith Feathers or glowing interactive orbs. Exploring every corner is key, because some are tucked in high cliffs, narrow ledges, or hidden zones.

2. Redemption

Once collected, bring them to a Monolith in a major hub. Here, you get two crucial rewards:

Mystic/Wisdom Stones: Permanently boost your Mastery Skills and earn Skill Points.

Enhancement Scrolls: Specifically for upgrading either the Revelation Amulet (PvE) or the Fierce Battle Amulet (PvP).

Pairing Strategies for Gear Enhancement

Target the Amulet Slot

Use the scrolls from Monoliths directly on your Amulet. This is one of the rare ways to boost this unique slot, which otherwise lags behind weapons and armor in raw Gear Score.

Regional Completion for Stats

Finishing all Traces in a region, like Verteron, gives prestigious titles—e.g., “Saint of Verteron”. These titles stack permanent stat boosts on top of your gear, giving you a sweet bonus without needing extra equipment.

Skill Synergy
